RCC's annualized enrollment of 3,700 credit students in 2024-2025 and almost 800 workforce and community development students are supported by almost 140 full-time employees and over 200 part-time/adjunct employees across two main campuses and five satellite sites.

RCC seeks applicants for an Administrative & Office Specialist III position, responsible for administrative support to our Workforce Development Division. This is a full-time, classified, restricted staff position, with an excellent benefits package. Continuation of the position is contingent upon funding. The salary range will be $45,000 - $50,000, commensurate with experience.

Workforce Development provides high quality, flexible and cost effective professional and technical training programs for individuals, groups and organizations in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula of Virginia. This role primarily assists students and visitors and oversees testing services within the Workforce Development division of RCC.

This position schedules and assists with Workforce training offerings, updates the mailing list, and initiates phone contacts in an effort to meet enrollment projections. The incumbent assists students with registration, including determination of funding eligibility and requirements for enrollment. This includes working with students interested in Workforce classes to complete their applications for college courses. The Administrative and Office Specialist is responsible for gathering information, data entry, database creation and student file retention. This position also greets visitors and responds to telephone inquiries with tact, courtesy, and information accuracy. Lastly, this role administers and proctors tests for credentialing.

Must be available to work at both the Glenns campus and the Kilmarnock Center as needed.
