Location: Wilsonville, AL 35186

Duration: 07/27/2026 –07/26/2027 (12 Months)

Pay Rate: $18.71/hr

Shift Timings: Monday –Friday | 6: 00 AM –2: 30 PM
 

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to multiple departments at a power plant facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timekeeping, expense processing, travel coordination, meeting scheduling, report preparation, record management, vendor coordination, and supporting plant operations while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to multiple departments.
  • Maintain employee timekeeping and attendance records.
  • Process employee expense reports and reimbursements.
  • Coordinate meetings, calendars, and travel arrangements.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation.
  • Order office supplies and coordinate vendor services.
  • Maintain departmental records and documentation.
  • Verify contractor timesheets.
  • Support FMLA administration and departmental reporting.
  • Assist with safety initiatives and provide excellent customer service.

Required Skills:
  • 1–5 years of administrative assistant experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with calendar management, travel coordination, and meeting scheduling.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently. 
     

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, SHIPS, or similar HR/timekeeping systems.
  • Accounts Payable experience.
  • Experience with timekeeping software.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, utility, or plant environment.
  • Experience supporting union employees. 
     

Education Required
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Associate degree or vocational/technical certification.
