    Job Description

    General Summary:

    Assists the College of Engineering leadership by providing administrative and operational support for the College. Serves as a resource for students, faculty, staff, and external constituents while coordinating student recruitment, advising, faculty support, research initiatives, and College programs. Supports the efficient operation of the College through communications, event coordination, data management, assessment, and other administrative functions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Serves as a resource for students, constituents, faculty, and the broader university for answering questions regarding COE policy and programs.
    • Provides administrative support to the College of Engineering by answering phone calls, scheduling meetings, managing events, assisting visitors, and performing general office administrative duties.
    • Maintains faculty advising assignments, schedules advising appointments, coordinates faculty for college visits, and assists with prospective student tours.
    • Supports student recruitment and ingress by communicating with prospective students and families, responding to current and prospective student inquiries, and providing student support.
    • Provides administrative and operational support for College of Engineering student organizations, professional chapters, and related programs and activities.
    • Manages paperwork and correspondence for the pre-engineering high school program.
    • Supports College of Engineering research initiatives by assisting with grant-related activities, coordinating research events and workshops, and providing administrative support for faculty research projects.
    • Helps maintain and update the College website.
    • Help with student worker hiring and faculty travel arrangements.
    • Assists with course scheduling, assessment data entry, data collection and analysis, and the maintenance of college files and records.
    • Contributes to College event set up and take down.
    • Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
    • Maintains 100% compliance with timely completion of required System, University and job-specific online training courses.

    Necessary Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Three (3) years of related experience.
    • Word processing, spreadsheets, database skills, & emailing.
    • Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment system or water treatment system.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Associates degree in related field.
    • Five (5) years related experience in higher education.
