Youre organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented, with a heart for supporting others and helping ministry happen behind the scenes. You enjoy keeping track of details, communicating clearly, and finding practical ways to make a team more effective. Youre comfortable managing multiple priorities, working independently, and following through on tasks from start to finish.
You also bring creativity to your work, whether youre creating a visually appealing resource in Canva, keeping donor information organized, coordinating an event detail, or helping connect a new student-athlete with the right AIA staff member. Most importantly, you want your work to contribute to a Christ-centered ministry and are excited to use your administrative and communication skills to help others know Jesus.
Athletes in Action (AIA), the sports ministry of Cru, serves to build spiritual movements everywhere through the platform of sports so that everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus. We envision a day when there are Christ-followers on every team, in every sport, in every nation.
The AIA Chicago Metro team serves athletes and students throughout the Chicago area, creating opportunities for people to encounter Jesus through the relationships and influence of sports. As part of this team, youll play an important behind-the-scenes role in helping staff stay organized, communicate effectively, connect with students and ministry partners, and carry out events and ministry opportunities.
This is a role where your administrative skills have a direct connection to ministry. Youll get to work alongside a team that is passionate about reaching athletes, while using your organization, communication, creativity, and attention to detail to help make that ministry possible.
No two days will look exactly the same. From connecting with student-athletes and communicating with ministry partners to creating resources, managing information, supporting fundraising events, and coordinating event logistics, youll have a variety of opportunities to contribute. If you enjoy being the person who keeps things moving, notices the details, and helps a team thrive, youll find plenty of ways to make an impact in this role.
