This position performs a wide variety of administrative and supervisory duties requiring knowledge of office procedures. This person provides support for fulltime and adjunct faculty and staff of the School of Nursing (SON), SON Committees, and assists students with program needs. A majority of duties are completed on own initiative or in collaboration with the Undergraduate Program Chairperson. This position reports to the Undergraduate Program Chairperson.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperationalEdit, format and update SON documents, policies, processes, handbooks, course catalogs, program-related documents, meeting agendas and minutes, as well as confidential correspondence for the dean or program chairInput undergraduate faculty workloads into the university FLAC systemAssist with organization and planning for student special events including Sophomore Dedication, Senior photographs and Senior Pinning ceremonyPlan and execute meeting and conference details as requested by the dean or chairperson when appropriateCreate promotional materials for SON programs and eventsPrepare check requisitions/invoices and track program account balancesCreate surveys using Qualtrics; electronically distribute them, and compile data for the SON, dean, department chairperson, assessment director, committees, and programsAssist with writing, editing, and distributing the SON Alumni NewsletterAssist with information gathering and editing of self-study reports and other documents necessary to maintain accreditation standardsServe on SON or CUW committees, as appropriateGreet and assist visitors, and answer the SON phone and fax linesPerform other related duties as assignedSupervisoryServe as liaison with other campus offices that provide technical services to the SON (A/V, I/T, Maintenance, Print Center, Sodexo, etc.)Manage, supervise, and coordinate the activities of student workersWork collaboratively to establish work priorities and work schedules for student workersPerform other related duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesComputer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, online survey software such as Qualtrics, and graphics software such as PublisherExcellent communication and organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload in a changing and rapid-paced environment, time management skills, excellent attention to detail, and self-motivationFriendly and "customer-oriented" when dealing with students, faculty, and callersDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a teamExhibits strict confidentiality in all workSupportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)Education & ExperienceAssociate or bachelor's degree preferred, along with two to three years of office experiencePhysical Demands/Equipment (Click to View)Compensation & BenefitsThis is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position.
