Hyde Park Day School (HPDS)-the premier school in the Chicago area dedicated to supporting bright students with learning differences-is currently seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant for our Northfield campus. This is a Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm position that plays a vital role in keeping our school running smoothly and our students and staff supported.

What You'll Do
As our Administrative Assistant, you'll be the organizational hub of the school. You'll:
Provide daily administrative support to school leadership and staff
Greet and assist students, parents, and visitors in a warm and professional manner
Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and inquiries
Manage scheduling, calendars, and meeting logistics
Maintain and organize both electronic and paper filing systems
Monitor and order office and classroom supplies
Prepare agendas, take meeting minutes, and draft correspondence and reports
Coordinate travel arrangements and event logistics
Support ongoing office operations including equipment maintenance and procedural improvements
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is efficient, approachable, and thrives in a dynamic school environment. Key qualifications include:
Associate's degree with computer/software training (required); Bachelor's degree preferred
At least five years of administrative or office management experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Docs/Sheets
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
A collaborative spirit and sensitivity to the needs of children with learning differences
Understanding of HIPAA and mental health confidentiality protocols
