Description

Position: Administrative Assistant

Location:Milford Family & Community Network CFCE

Schedule:10-month position (38-weeks August through June)

Hours: 15-hours a week

Salary: $18.00 per hour

To Start:September 2026

Qualifications:

  • Administrative/secretarial experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
  • Must possess excellent organizational, written and communication skills
  • Must consistently interface with public in a positive, respectful and helpful manner
  • Must possess excellent computer skills - Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of basic office procedures, operation of common office equipment, the ability to multi-task, and strong time management/task completion record
  • Experience with budgets and payroll helpful
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to hold all matters related to duties in confidence

Duties

  • Greet all visitors and families
  • Collect and maintain data necessary for the preparation of reports for the coordinator as requested
  • Minute taker at staff, committee and council meetings: distribute and maintain minutes
  • Provide general office support to all MFCN staff (copying, scanning, printing, etc.)
  • Provide and maintain resource and referral information
  • Register families for playgroups, programs and events and prepare documents for such
  • Answer phone calls, emails, update website, send out Network Updates and maintain files
  • Inventory & order office supplies and process mail
  • Plan, prepare and coordinate all tasks for an annual Fair, including volunteer supervision
  • Perform other similar tasks and duties as assigned by the coordinator
  • Availability to attend occasional night and weekend meetings / community events
