Advertising Summary: Aggie Welcome & Orientation (AWO) is a unit within the Department of Student Life that is seeking a positive and motivated individual to work as our inaugural Administrative Assistant. The unit is responsible for new student orientation, family engagement events throughout the year, and supporting both students and families in their transition to college/NMSU. AWO serves all students and families at the university and collaborates with other offices and programs to create a welcoming environment, and increase student success and retention.

Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)

Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Ability to track expenditures and support in purchasing.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma + 3 years of relevant experience or an Associate''s Degree + 1 year of relevant experience.
Equivalent Qualifications:
Completion of a post-secondary degree or certificate may substitute for years of experience.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Physical Effort: No or very limited physical effort required.
