GENERAL PURPOSE

The administrative assistant II for graduate nursing programs provides essential operational and administrative support to ensure the effective functioning of graduate nursing education initiatives. Key responsibilities include oversight and organization of faculty syllabi, coordination of BPA testing process, data entry and management within clinical placement software, including preceptor certificate recognition, and assistance with student clinical placements. The role also manages the documentation related to student national board certification requirements and supports the planning and implementation of special academic and programmatic initiatives. In addition, Administrative Assistant II serves as a resource for addressing routine and complex issues, facilitating communication, problem-solving, and the smooth day-to-day operation of graduate nursing programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs data entry, maintenance, and quality monitoring within clinical placement software; assists with student clinical placements and site documentation.
  • Provides oversight, collection, organization, and tracking of faculty syllabi and minimal check lists to ensure accreditation, program, and university compliance.
  • Manages and processes national board certification paperwork and related student documents.
  • Coordinates BPA testing process, including scheduling, communications, documentation and troubleshooting for graduate nursing students.
  • Coordinates special programs, events, and projects, and departmental initiatives supporting graduate nursing education.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1 to 3 years of work related experience
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Databases

SALARY INFORMATION

When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly rate for this position is $19.38 to $23.00. This hourly rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
