Overview:

Sentara Careplex Hospital Administration is hiring a Full-time, Day Shift Administrative Assistant II.

Hours/Shift: Full-time, day shift working from 7:00am to 3:30pm but may need flexibility in hours for coverage.

Perform a variety of administrative tasks aimed to optimize the time and performance of a manager or employees of a department; higher level roles will work for higher level managers or departments. Tasks may involve acting as a first point of contact, dealing with correspondence and phone calls, managing diaries, organizing meetings and appointments, preparing documents or reports, and controlling access to the manager or the department. May involve dealing with confidential information.

Job Qualifications:

Education

  • High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

Experience

  • 4-6 Months Basic experience of simple office / operational systems (Required) 2 years experience (Preferred)

  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (Preferred)

  • Previous Administrative Assistant or Secretary experience preferred to support Vice President and Senior Directors (Preferred)

  • Excellent Organization Skills (Preferred)

  • EPIC Experience (Preferred)

  • Familiar with Clinical Operations (Preferred)
