Under the general supervision of the Administrative Technician performs a wide variety of office management tasks in support of the operation of the Park Maintenance Department. Operates a variety of office machines involving the use of typing and computer skills. Learns and interprets City department rules, regulations, and procedures. Involves substantial public contact especially over the phone.

Any combination of training and experience equivalent to graduation from a standard high school plus one year of clerical experience.

Requires considerable amount of sitting, with some walking required. Very limited outdoor work is needed on an infrequent basis. Some lifting and carrying of boxes up to 30 pounds may be required.
