About the Role:
Under the CAO's direction and the Administrative Assistant's supervision, the Administrative Assistant provides versatile clerical and administrative support-handling visitor greeting, filing, scheduling, and correspondence-primarily for HICHC's East Administration office in Hilo.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Required-High school diploma or GED
- Required-Experience working in a customer-focused and fast-paced professional environment
- Preferred-Two (2) years administrative experience.
- Preferred-Notary Republic designation
- Preferred-Associate degree in business administration or related field
Responsibilities:- Provides a full range of clerical and administrative support tasks to the organization's various departments, especially the administrative departments within the East Administration office.
- Professionally and promptly greets visitors to the East Administration office. o Common visitors may include walk-in patients, current and potential staff, Board of Director and community members, delivery personnel, contractors and vendors. o Identifies the visitor and notifies relevant staff members of their arrival and/or guides them to assigned service area(s).
- Answers incoming calls to HICHC East Administration and provides basic office information (office hours, website address, clinic locations) or connects to the appropriate individual or department
