Administrative Assistant for Nutrition Part-Time
About the Opportunity
Are you a highly organized professional who thrives in a dynamic academic environment? The Nutrition Department is seeking an exceptional Administrative Assistant to serve as the operational backbone of our department, supporting faculty and coordinating daily operations that impact student success and program excellence. This position is part-time at 20 hours (4 days at 5 hours) per week.
What Youll Do
As our Administrative Assistant, youll play a vital role in supporting multiple nutrition programs including our Dietetic Internship (DI), Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD), and Master of Health Science (MHS) programs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Program Coordination & Student Support
Coordinate registration and logistics for conferences and special events
Support recruitment efforts and maintain program databases
Manage student records, clearances, and schedules using systems like CANVAS, Typhon, and CastleBranch
Assist with ACEND accreditation reporting and standards tracking
Administrative Excellence
Provide comprehensive administrative support to department faculty
Coordinate facility maintenance, classroom reservations, and department meetings
Process financial transactions including PCard reconciliation and travel reimbursements
Manage social media presence and create compelling presentations for program events
Communication & Relationship Building
Serve as a friendly first point of contact for students, faculty, and alumni
Coordinate special recognition events for program graduates
Maintain ongoing communication with alumni networks
Research and develop partnerships with other academic programs
What Were Looking For
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a relevant field preferred
Previous administrative support experience, preferably in higher education
Proven track record of exceptional customer service

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems
Superior organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple projects
