Job Summary
The Operations Administrative Assistant provides a broad range of administrative support functions to the site's plant leadership. Typical hours are Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm, subject to overtime as needed. There is no expected travel for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greeting and assisting visitors.
- Provides clerical support, such as taking meeting notes, assistance in scanning and copying, reception, etc.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for office communications. Prioritizes, composes, and disseminates information to internal and external customers. Responds to inquiries.
- Schedules plant tours and corresponding activities
- Coordinates, maintains, and creates various events, schedules, and calendars. Coordinates large group meetings as needed.
- Assists with reporting for EHS and COS functions.
- Purchases and initiates payments for office supplies, cafeteria supplies, equipment, and services.
- Partners with Operations Manager and the local HR Business Partner on employee recognition and engagement activities. Participates in site's engagement committee and maintains engagement calendar.
- Models and promotes strong teamwork. Works with the Operations and Safety departments as needed.
- Participates in special projects.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Able to exercise high level of discretion and autonomy in completing tasks.
- Able to problem solve and prioritize by urgency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with ability to quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments.
- Systems data entry experience preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Required:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Preferred:
- Associate's degree
- 1 - 3 years of experience of working in an administrative environment preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment.
- Some presence on the plant floor, wearing appropriate PPE as needed.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Used:
- Eye and hearing protection is required at all times on the production floor.
- Safety toe shoes (steel/composite) on the production floor.
- Other PPE as defined by management within assigned department.
