Administrative Assistant - Middle School - 222 Days
Essential functions:
- Perform various clerical and administrative support for an office or administrator
- Prepare correspondence, files, and documents using a word processor or other data management software
- Serve as point of contact for an office, providing information and guidance
- Maintain files, inventories, and other records both manually and automated
- Foster a positive relationship with parents, volunteers, and other school visitors
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Regular and punctual attendance required
- Create letters, forms, and other associated documents
- Type a variety of routine and complex documents, reports, forms, and correspondence
- Assist with various administrative and student-related activities such as registration, calling absentees, preparing reports, contacting parents, checking students in/out, and any other related tasks
- Operate various types of office equipment such as copiers, faxes, scanners, etc.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and information pertaining to individual students and/or the overall program
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or sufficient education, training, and experience to successfully perform the duties of the position
- Extensive experience in clerical or similar administrative positions
- Demonstrated experience with automated information management systems, including word processing
- Strong oral and written communication skills
