We provide fast, reliable internet for our local SWMO communities. We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and motivated Administrative / Staff Accountant to support both the day-to-day administrative functions and accounting operations of the organization. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and the ability to identify needs, take initiative, and follow tasks through to completion. This role will work closely with management and other team members and will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, and accountability.Key ResponsibilitiesAccountingPerform routine accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and documentation.Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial processes.Review transactions for accuracy and proper coding.Assist with preparation of financial reports and other accounting information.Monitor outstanding invoices, payments, and account balances.Maintain organized and accurate accounting files and records.Assist with audits, tax-related documentation, and other financial reporting as needed.AdministrativeProvide administrative support to management and staff.Maintain organized records, files, reports, and correspondence.Assist with scheduling, data entry, document preparation, and general office operations.Manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.Communicate effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and management.Identify administrative needs and take initiative to address them without waiting for direction.Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.Leadership & InitiativeThis position requires someone who can take ownership of responsibilities and lead by example. Ability to lead multiple departments and personality types.Preferred QualificationsDegree or coursework in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.Experience with accounting softwaresExperience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and general ledger functions.Previous experience in an administrative/accounting support role.Experience working with government grants and audits.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, organized, and accountable.
