Bryant University, a nationally recognized leader in higher education, is currently recruiting for Adjunct teaching opportunities in the Politics, Society, and Law Department for the fall 2026 semester. Classes meet at our campus in Smithfield, RI. The fall semester starts Monday, August 31, 2026.

We are seeking qualified individuals to teach:

SOC 251 Principles of Sociology

Students survey and appraise the basic concepts, including theory and method, social processes and structure, culture, groups, socialization, inequality and social institutions.

Available Sections:

MT 12:45-2:00 pm

Principal Accountabilities

This position includes teaching at the undergraduate level as well as contributing to student growth and development through active involvement in student related co-curricular activities.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree (Master's, ABD or Doctorate) in sociology or a related field.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Based on University procedures, adjunct faculty are typically limited to teaching no more than two classes per semester.
