It is the responsibility of the teaching faculty to provide learning activities and support that will lead to the achievement of course and program objectives and to contribute to the overall educational environment of the college and community and to provide related services such as academic advising, committee participation, professional development, community development as well as other service support that is needed in the fulfillment of the North Central Texas Colleges Mission.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Teaching college courses in Principles of Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and/or Technical Accounting classes. Classes scheduled during the day, on campus depending on enrollment.
• Treats students and colleagues with respect.
• Active involvement in issues of institutional effectiveness including student learning outcomes, program level outcomes, and marketable skill achievement.
• Focuses teaching and outreach efforts on student success.
• Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and the institution.

Required Education

Masters degree in Accounting or a masters degree with 18 graduate hours in Accounting.

Required Skills & Abilities

Must be willing to teach in-person classes on the Gainesville campus.

Preferred Skills & Abilities Required Experience

Work experience in any of the following areas: bookkeeping, auditing, forensic accounting, managerial accounting or staff accounting.

Preferred Experience

Prefer community college teaching experience.

Subject to criminal background check. Resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcript required in addition to application. Pay rate is $680/course load. Based on the Gainesville Campus. Must be available for in-person classroom instruction.

Finalists will be required to present a 15 minute teaching segment on the accounting subject of their choice.
