Position Summary ----------------

Athens State University invites applications for adjunct intern supervisor positions within the city and county school systems for the following areas:

• Jackson County AL
• Lauderdale County AL
• Madison County AL
• Jefferson County AL
• Franklin County AL
• Lincoln County TN

These positions are part-time non-tenured positions supervising an assigned number of undergraduate students completing their internship student teaching per semester. Previous teaching is preferred but not required.

Qualifications --------------

• Minimum requirements include a Masters degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.

Salary Schedule ----------------

Salary is based upon the number of assigned students as determined by the University.

Athens State University offers junior and senior-level coursework to community college graduates and transfer students holding sufficient credits from other institutions. Approximately 3000 students each semester have selected Athens State because of its neighborly environment where over 50 majors and degree programs are offered with courses taught by a supportive and exceptional faculty. Approximately 95 of the students are enrolled in at least one online course. The typical student is a working adult who commutes.
