Job Summary/Basic Function:

SUNY Potsdam is seeking an Adjunct Instructor in Computer Science to teach undergraduate Introductory Programming and Algorithms courses using Java for the Fall 2026 semester. The successful candidate will deliver engaging instruction, support student learning, and foster strong programming and problem-solving skills. Candidates with a Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field and prior teaching experience are preferred.

Job Requirements & Essential Functions of the Job: Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • We are seeking candidates who possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues and who have demonstrated a commitment to creating, fostering and sustaining an inclusive environment in and out of the classroom.

Preferred Qualifications:
