The Biology Department at Meredith College invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach lecture and laboratory courses in Genetics and/or Human Anatomy & Physiology beginning Fall 2026. We seek colleagues committed to high quality undergraduate teaching, and supporting student success in a liberal arts environment.
Responsibilities:
Teach lecture and/or laboratory sections in Genetics and/or Human Anatomy & Physiology
Develop and deliver course materials that align with departmental learning outcomes
Provide timely assessment, feedback, and academic support to students
Maintain clear communication with department leadership
Uphold all instructional, safety, and compliance standards for laboratory teaching
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Biology, Genetics, Physiology, or a closely related discipline
Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate students or evidence of strong potential for effective instruction
Commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment

Appointment Details:
Adjunct appointments are semester based and part time. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and course load. Opportunities for continued teaching may be available based on departmental needs.
