The Department of Social and Cultural Sciences is hiring an adjunct instructor to teach part-time in the Social Welfare and Justice major. The candidate will teach SOWJ 4930. The position will begin in August 2026.

The Department of Social and Cultural Sciences offers undergraduate majors in Anthropology, Criminology and Law Studies, Social Welfare and Justice, and Sociology, and a graduate program in Criminal Justice Data Analytics (CJDA). Duties and Responsibilities

Applicants should be prepared to contribute to undergraduate coursework to the Social Justice and Welfare major. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the course they are teaching, including course and syllabus preparation; grading exams, papers, and other assignments. Must maintain a minimum of three office hours per week.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Earned Masters degree and/or five years of teaching experience or other suitable professional experience. Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
