As an Adjunct Instructor, you'll bring your real-world expertise into the classroom, lab, and clinical settings, guiding students toward certification, career readiness, and excellence in patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

Teach & Inspire

  • Deliver engaging instruction aligned with CSP standards (HSPA/CBSPD)
  • Develop lesson plans and assess student learning through exams and hands-on evaluations

Lead in the Lab

  • Demonstrate sterile processing techniques (decontamination, assembly, sterilization, storage)
  • Supervise lab activities and ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback on student performance

Oversee Clinical Learning

  • Coordinate and monitor student clinical placements
  • Partner with healthcare facilities and clinical staff
  • Evaluate student progress and ensure compliance with professional standards

Support the Program

  • Contribute to curriculum updates, program improvement, and accreditation efforts
  • Mentor and advise students on academic and career success
  • Stay current with industry trends, technology, and regulations

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or higher preferred)
  • Current CSP certification (CRCST or CBSPD)
  • 3+ years of recent sterile processing experience (within the last 5 years)
  • Strong knowledge of CSP practices, standards, and student evaluation

Additional Considerations

Preferred

  • Teaching, training, or precepting experience
  • Experience with learning management systems or simulation tools
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
