As an Adjunct Instructor, you'll bring your real-world expertise into the classroom, lab, and clinical settings, guiding students toward certification, career readiness, and excellence in patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Teach & Inspire
- Deliver engaging instruction aligned with CSP standards (HSPA/CBSPD)
- Develop lesson plans and assess student learning through exams and hands-on evaluations
Lead in the Lab
- Demonstrate sterile processing techniques (decontamination, assembly, sterilization, storage)
- Supervise lab activities and ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols
- Provide timely, constructive feedback on student performance
Oversee Clinical Learning
- Coordinate and monitor student clinical placements
- Partner with healthcare facilities and clinical staff
- Evaluate student progress and ensure compliance with professional standards
Support the Program
- Contribute to curriculum updates, program improvement, and accreditation efforts
- Mentor and advise students on academic and career success
- Stay current with industry trends, technology, and regulations
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or higher preferred)
- Current CSP certification (CRCST or CBSPD)
- 3+ years of recent sterile processing experience (within the last 5 years)
- Strong knowledge of CSP practices, standards, and student evaluation
