Description
Primary teaching responsibilities include industrial safety, equipment operation, OSHA/PPE practices, and introductory/advanced solar photovoltaic instruction.
Job Duties
- Teach classroom and hands-on lab instruction in industrial safety, equipment operation, and solar photovoltaic systems
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment while reinforcing OSHA, PPE, and industry safety practices
- Prepare instructional materials, assess student learning, and maintain accurate student records
- Support student success through effective communication and engagement with students and industry partners
Qualifications
- 6000 hours of industrial technology work experience OR possess a combination of an associate degree in industrial technology and at least 3,000 hours of recent, relevant tested industrial technology experience.
- Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and safe equipment operation
Physical Demands
- The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
- Ability to lift up to 10lbs
- Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle.
