Adjunct Hiring Pool - School of Theatre Arts & Dance

This pool expires 05/31/2027. Applicants wishing to remain in this pool past 05/31/2027, must reapply at that time.

Position Summary:

The College of Performing and Visual Arts at the University of Northern Colorado invites applications for an adjunct hiring pool in the School of Theatre Arts & Dance (STAD). This pool will be used to fill potential temporary, part-time and/or full-time adjunct faculty positions as needs arise.

Adjunct faculty may be assigned to teach a variety of undergraduate courses, including lecture, laboratory, studio, and applied lessons. We seek candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Acting, Theatre Education, Musical Theatre, Dance, and Design & Technology.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, the ability to engage and mentor students, and a collaborative approach to working within a dynamic and creative academic environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Theatre (Acting, Education, Musical Theatre, Dance, Design & Technology) and professional experience in their discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's or terminal degree (MFA, MA, or PhD) in Acting, Theatre Education, Musical Theatre, Dance, Design & Technology, or a related theatre discipline.
• Demonstrated record of successful college-level teaching and/or significant professional experience.
• Evidence of outstanding artistry and ongoing professional engagement in the field.
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching practices and a collaborative academic environment.
