Job Summary
The primary duties for the successful candidate will be teaching Health classes for New River
Community and Technical College.
Adjunct faculty members serve multiple roles as teachers, mentors, colleagues, and scholars.
Adjunct faculty are expected to excel in classroom instruction and to fulfill various
responsibilities related to their assigned teaching duties.
Nature of Work
Provide didactic education, in person and through distance learning.

Education and Certification
Bachelor's Degree- Health and Wellness or related subject- Required
Master's Degree- Health Promotions, Health and Wellness or Public Health- Required
Experience
In addition to the knowledge/education, the following related work experience is typically
required for this position. An equivalent combination of education and recent, related
experience may be acceptable.
Two years teaching experience in higher education- Preferred
Experience utilizing technology including Microsoft Word and other software programs- Required
Experience teaching over an interactive video network/zoom- Preferred
Teaching Dual Enrollment- Preferred
