REPORTS TO: Program Director of Criminal Justice & Sociology
STATUS: PART-TIME
Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applications for Adjunct Faculty, Sociology.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides instruction at the undergraduate level using collaborative, instructional technology, and innovative methods.
Teaches lower and/or upper-division sociology courses as assigned by program director.
Develops syllabi and coursework in alignment with course description and student learning outcomes.
Provides assessment of students and supports college assessment needs.
Establishes and fosters community and institutional relationships to form partnerships that will assist students with networking and job opportunities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES:
Minimum of a Master's Degree in Sociology or closely related field provided the applicant's transcripts demonstrate completion of at least 18 semester credit hours (or equivalent quarter hours) of specific coursework in Sociology.
Must be able to teach in person.
Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in teaching in a liberal arts college environment.
