A faculty member with the rank of instructor or above is responsible to teach in the lecture and/or laboratory setting for the Pathologists' Assistant (PathA) program. Adjuncts are assigned to provide instruction in a portion of the curriculum for which they has suitable training and experience.
Responsibilities:
The following outlines the basic responsibilities of this position. Other duties are to be assigned as necessary.
Prepare and deliver lectures or laboratory lessons on assigned topics
Participate in assessment of student performance through appropriate examination methods) as assigned
Promote an appropriate atmosphere for student education and be responsive to students' needs
Serve on TOUROCOM committees as assigned: Provide reports, budgetary information and other documents) as requested by department chairs) directors, and deans
Advise and mentor students
Participate in pathologists' assistant student admissions interviews
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
Master's Degree required
Doctorate Degree preferred
Graduate level degree (Master's or Doctoral) in any of the topics mentioned in the job responsibilities section
Pathologists' Assistant ASCP certification and an active New York State Pathologists' Assistant License
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
General administrative duties required
Overall business acumen, ethical decision making and relationship management skills required
Proficient in the following areas: Relevant content expertise, research techniques, instructional design, delivery and assessment, course management, psychometrics/statistics, learning theory, public speaking, effective communication, conflict management

Maximum Salary:
USD $150.00/Hr.
Minimum Salary:
USD $120.00/Hr.
