Job Summary

Adjunct faculty in the Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics (MSOP) program are responsible for delivering high‑quality graduate‑level instruction that supports the program's mission to prepare competent, evidence‑based, and collaborative practitioner‑scholars in orthotics and prosthetics. Adjunct faculty contribute to student learning through didactic instruction and applied learning activities. Courses may be taught remotely, in‑person, or in a hybrid format, depending on course needs and faculty expertise

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution in Orthotics and Prosthetics, Rehabilitation Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
  • Ability to teach assigned courses effectively in a remote, hybrid, or in‑person format, using university‑approved instructional technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage and mentor graduate‑level students.
  • Commitment to evidence‑based practice, ethics, and inclusive learning environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Terminal degree (PhD, EdD, DSc, ScD, or equivalent) in Orthotics and Prosthetics, Rehabilitation Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Certified Prosthetist‑Orthotist (CPO) credential (or equivalent professional certification) with current or previous clinical practice experience.
  • Prior teaching experience at the graduate level, particularly within orthotics and prosthetics, rehabilitation, or health sciences education.
