Bryant University, a nationally recognized leader in higher education, is currently recruiting for Adjunct teaching opportunities in the Science and Technology Department for the Fall 2026 semester. Classes meet at our campus in Smithfield, RI. The fall semester starts August 31, 2026.
We are seeking adjunct faculty for the following course:
SCI L365. Organic Chemistry I Lab - Mondays 1:20-3:10pm
This course will provide an introduction to the chemistry of organic compounds and the importance of organic chemistry in our everyday life. Organic chemistry is involved in many industrial production processes such as plastics and pharmaceuticals, as well as being essential to the reactions and processes that occur in living organisms. This course will cover the structure and chemistry of the major classes of organic compounds and is recommended for students who plan careers in environmental toxicology, the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, waste management, biological sciences and geochemistry. This course may be taken with a laboratory to fulfill the laboratory requirement.
Prerequisite: SCI 267: Introductory Chemistry II
Corequisite: SCI R365: Organic Chemistry I Recitation
Principal Accountabilities
This position includes teaching at the undergraduate level as well as contributing to student growth and development through active involvement in student related co-curricular activities.
