The School of Healthcare Business and Technology seeks an adjunct faculty member to develop and deliver high quality learning experiences and education for students in the Health Information Management & Technology program. The selected candidate will have responsibilities developing and teaching classroom courses to undergraduate students. Subject matters may include ICD and CPT coding finance and revenue cycle and health data compliance.Develops a course outline instructional materials and assessments for assigned courses for approval by program director andor DeanDelivers didactic laboratory andor experiential instruction via multiple formats in-person online or in a 'blended format in the Health Information Management & Technology program.Provides students with an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes teaching methodology attendance policies in line with those of the School texts and readings assignments and deliverables timelines and evaluation criteria.Provides engaging assignments that demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered.Uses the Universitys learning management system to post syllabus assignments and other materials and to communicate with studentsAdvises and assists students through office hours or scheduled appointments by videoconference phone or email and through other University-approved mechanismsProvides service including student mentoring ongoing course development and assessmentEnsure course content aligns with current industry standards accreditation requirements and program learning outcomes.Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor
