General Summary

Indiana Tech is seeking Adjunct Faculty primarily in our Fort Wayne area. The successful candidate will teach in-person, online, and blended classes at our Fort Wayne campus, primarily in the undergraduate program and certificate programs. Types of courses to be taught include:

  • Business Analytics
  • Quality Management
  • Human Resource Management
  • Project Management
  • Operations Management
  • Business Strategy and Policy

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Teach one or more courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi. Conduct a one-hour live session (Tech Live/ Big Blue Button) each week for an online course and record full class sessions for on-campus courses. Grade all assignments for the course (Canvas). Report final grades for all students (J1 Web). Work closely with the Office of Student Success, Career Services, and Office of Accessibility Serves for student success. Collect assessment data for required courses. Provide a supportive and engaging learning environment for a diverse student population. Support efforts to increase access and success in higher education for underrepresented students. Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Institute of Technology.

Measures of Accomplishment

Course goals and objectives are set by the dean and are defined in the teaching contract.

Qualifications

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Business or a closely related management field required.
  • Teaching experience is required.
  • Industry-specific credentials, quantitative focus (e.g., business analytics, supply chain management, operations management, human resource management), and business or management experience
  • Experience with a Learning Management System is required (i.e., Canvas preferred).
  • Applicants should be able to use technology effectively in all aspects of their work, including teaching.
  • Five years or more industry experience preferred.

Working Conditions

Work is normally performed in a classroom environment.
