Job Summary
The Transpersonal Art Therapy department seeks Adjunct Faculty Members to teach up to three graduate-level courses during the Fall 2026 semester. Adjunct Faculty are provided established curriculum and syllabi to work with and further develop in collaboration with Core Faculty.
This is a one-semester appointment with teaching assignments based on departmental needs and faculty expertise. Courses may be offered in online, low-residency, synchronous, and/or in-person formats.

Teaching assignments may include up to three 3-credit graduate courses within the Transpersonal Art Therapy program.
Course Description
The Transpersonal Art Therapy program integrates creative process, contemplative practice, psychological theory, and experiential learning to support the development of ethically grounded and culturally responsive clinicians. Coursework may include topics related to art therapy such as history and theory of art therapy, practical application of transpersonal art therapy including community based art studio methods, human development, counseling skills, arts psychotherapy group process, social and multicultural awareness, art therapy assessment and research methods, ethics, and transpersonal approaches to healing.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
1) Masters degree in Counseling or a related field;
2) Required active ATR-BC (Board Certified Art Therapist)
3) Licensed or eligible for licensure at the Professional Counselor or equivalent level; and
4) Equivalent of two years' full time employment in a clinical capacity in a mental health related setting (private practice, agency, or related setting) in the last five years.
