Employment Terms: This job is a part time, non-benefited, FLSA exempt position in the Nursing and Life Sciences Division that reports to the Program Director of Patient Care.
Schedule:
Classroom/Lab Instruction: Tuesdays and Thursdays for 7 weeks, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., totaling 66 classroom/lab hours per semester, scheduled in 8-hour increments.
Clinical Instruction: Tuesdays and Thursdays for 1 week, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., totaling 24 clinical hours per semester, scheduled in 8-hour increments.
Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 10318)
Registered Nursing (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current, active, unrestricted Georgia License. Minimum of two years of full‐time paid in field work experience as a RN or LPN within the past five years. One year must be in long term care. Must have train the trainer certification and approval with Alliant Health GMCF prior to teaching
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in teaching and curriculum development. Active participation in appropriate professional/occupational organization.
Candidates for this position are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Job Description Summary:
Prepares and delivers lecture and/or lab/clinical course material. Prepares lesson plans for classroom/clinical instruction for general core courses. Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately. Assists with recruitment retention and job placement efforts. All clinical adjunct faculty must follow credentialing requirements of affiliated agencies.
If offered a position, employees in this department must complete the Hazardous Materials Training as well as the Bloodborne & Airborne Pathogen training annually.
