Job Description:

Title: Adjunct Business Instructor

Unit: DCE: DCE Collective Bargaining Agreement

Dept: Professional Studies and Health Careers

Reports To: Associate Dean of Professional Studies and Health Careers

Date: Fall 2025

General Statement of Duties:

Roxbury Community College seeks a dynamic and experienced adjunct Business faculty member to teach college-level courses in accordance with description published inRoxbury Community College catalog. Responsibilities include giving lectures and assignments.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide instruction of his/her assigned course(s)
  • Responsible for creating a classroom environment which fosters students' academic growth and guides their professional development.
  • Responsible for the creation and revision of daily lesson plans.
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping of student attendance and academic progress.
  • Correct and return quizzes, tests and lab assignments in a timely manner to students.
  • Utilize instructional and audiovisual aids, and all available resources.
  • Follow a syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.
  • Meets with and advise students before and after class or by appointment.
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress.
  • Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
Requirements:

? Master's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
? Commitment to advancing equity and access in the classroom.
? College teaching experience, especially at community college level, preferred.
? Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.

? Familiarity with Jenzabar or similar online learning applications.

? Experience with Online teaching and OER.

? Proficiency in Google Suite and Office 365, as well as experience with learning management systems such as Canvas or similar platforms.

Additional Information:

Salary: The Adjunct Faculty salary range is determined in accordance with the DCE Collective Bargaining Agreement.
