Adjunct Job Title Adjunct, American Heart Association (AHA) Certified CPR Instructor Discipline(s) Adjunct Job Description
Compensation: $38/hour
Position Summary:
Seeking a CPR adjunct instructor to teach our one-day Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid courses for students ages 14-16. The instructor will deliver hands-on training using the provided American Heart Association curriculum and help students develop the knowledge and confidence to respond appropriately in pediatric emergency situations.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with teenagers, creates an interactive learning environment, and can effectively teach lifesaving skills to youth participants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age.
Hold a current AHA Instructor certification, such as:
Heartsaver Instructor, or
BLS Instructor (BLS Instructors are authorized to teach all Heartsaver courses, including Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED).
Experience teaching CPR, first aid, healthcare, emergency response, or related safety courses.
Must be available to teach in-person classes on Saturdays.
Must be willing and able to teach the course at least once during each academic year.
Must maintain all required certifications throughout employment.
Must be able to lift and transport CPR training equipment as needed.
Ability to demonstrate and evaluate CPR skills accurately.
Ability to pass any required background checks in accordance with organizational policies.
