The Role
Join our clinical team in providing compassionate, direct nursing care for clients in recovery. You will work closely with our Registered Nurses and physicians to monitor health screenings, manage medication self-administration, and support the overall wellness of our clients in a fast-paced, empathetic environment.
Hours: 6:30p to 7a three days a week, rotating every other weekend
Key Responsibilities
- Medication Management: Monitor client self-administration and document reactions or side effects.
- Clinical Care: Conduct initial health screenings, assess medical needs, and assist physicians with exams or treatments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate charts for vital signs, treatments, and administered medications.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with RNs and program staff to ensure care plans and protocols are strictly followed.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Current LPN or LVN license in the state of IL
- Education: High school diploma and completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of nursing assessments and pharmacology.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience preferred, specifically with substance abuse or recovery-related health issues.
- Interpersonal Skills: High level of empathy and sensitivity to help minimize client apprehension.
Physical Requirements
- Precision manual dexterity for instruments and syringes.
- Ability to read clinical gauges and assess physical symptoms accurately.
- Strong communication skills for client and staff coordination.
- Valid driver’s license (depending on center assignment)
