Addiction Counselor - Richmond Hill, NY (Onsite) - Full-Time - Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat 1:00pm-9:00pm  -$60,000-$65,000 Per Year

Title:
Addiction Counselor  (CASAC required, will consider CASAC T with experience)
Location: Richmond hill, NY
Position Type: Full-Time - Either Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat - Shifts are from 01:00pm-09:00pm for 3 Days, and other 2 days are Flexible

Compensation
Pay Range:$53,000-$65,000 Per Year

Description
Seeking a dedicated professional to join our clinical team as a full-time Addiction Counselor in Richmond Hill, NY. 
This position focuses on supporting patients with substance use disorders through individual counseling and group facilitation. 
The role requires a trauma-informed approach and collaboration with various teams to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements
Experience managing a caseload of patients with substance use disorders.
Proficiency in conducting assessments, screenings, and intakes.
Ability to facilitate and co-facilitate therapeutic groups.
Experience in crisis intervention and psychoeducation.
Strong collaboration skills with internal and external teams.
Competence in maintaining accurate documentation.
Flexibility to work Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat from 1:00pm-9:00pm.

Qualifications
• CASAC required, CASAC T or CASAC (Full) required
• CASAC T with minimum 1 year experience will be considered

Relevant certification or licensure in addiction counseling.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of referral processes and patient care coordination.
Experience with psychoeducation and therapeutic group facilitation.
