ROLE SUMMARY
The ADAS Software Integration & Measurement Engineer is responsible for integrating, commissioning, and maintaining ADAS/AD software, hardware, and measurement systems in development vehicles.
The primary focus is ensuring that test vehicles, ECUs, sensors, computing platforms, software configurations, and data acquisition systems are operational and ready for engineering activities. The engineer performs software deployments, maintains measurement configurations, supports vehicle instrumentation, and troubleshoots issues across software, hardware, vehicle networks, and measurement equipment.
The position works closely with software development, function development, validation, workshop, and global engineering teams. Systems engineering and validation knowledge are required to support technical analysis and allow the position to transition to future ADAS/AD projects as program needs evolve.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SOFTWARE INTEGRATION AND VEHICLE COMMISSIONING, 40%
Integrate and deploy ADAS/AD software releases into development and test vehicles.
Integrate software, ECUs, sensors, computing platforms, and supporting hardware into the vehicle environment.
Perform software flashing, configuration, calibration, startup, and functional checks.
Configure and maintain vehicle-specific software environments, dependencies, network settings, and system parameters.
Manage software versions, configurations, and integration baselines.
Verify compatibility among software packages, ECUs, sensors, hardware variants, and vehicle platforms.
Analyze logs, diagnostic information, communication traces, and system behavior.
Troubleshoot integration issues involving embedded software, ECUs, sensors, operating systems, middleware, and vehicle networks.
Reproduce technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actions with the responsible engineering teams.
Document software configurations, known limitations, integration status, and vehicle readiness.
MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS AND TEST-VEHICLE INFRASTRUCTURE, 40%
Define, install, configure, operate, and maintain measurement and data acquisition systems in ADAS/AD development vehicles.
Create and maintain measurement configurations for software development, troubleshooting, testing, and performance analysis.
Integrate and configure sensors, ECUs, data loggers, network interfaces, time-synchronization systems, and storage solutions.
Ensure reliable and synchronized acquisition of vehicle, ECU, sensor, network, localization, and environmental data.
Configure or develop solutions to acquire, process, monitor, record, and export measurement data.
Maintain in-vehicle computers, operating systems, network components, data storage, and supporting IT infrastructure.
Perform commissioning and calibration of sensors, measurement equipment, computing platforms, and ADAS/AD components.
Develop new vehicle instrumentation and measurement concepts in collaboration with workshop and engineering teams.
Support the installation of additional ADAS/AD components in prototype, development, and production-based vehicles.
Procure and manage measurement hardware, cables, adapters, interfaces, licenses, and related components.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle hardware, software, sensors, ECUs, network topology, measurement channels, and calibration status.
Develop reusable and reproducible measurement setups across vehicles and test campaigns.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to keep vehicles and measurement systems operational.
Create vehicle-specific setup instructions and provide technical guidance to engineers, technicians, and vehicle users.
Serve as a central technical contact for vehicle integration and measurement-system topics.
SYSTEMS ENGINEERING AND VALIDATION SUPPORT, 20%
Collect, clarify, and document technical requirements for software integration, measurement systems, and assigned ADAS/AD functions.
Identify interfaces and dependencies among software, sensors, ECUs, vehicle networks, and partner systems.
Support the creation of system descriptions, integration concepts, test catalogs, and validation strategies.
Support software-in-the-loop, integration, regression, and vehicle-level testing when required.
Prepare test vehicles, measurement setups, and configurations for validation activities.
Perform detailed analysis of measurement data to evaluate function behavior and identify root causes.
Support defect reproduction, corrective-action verification, and regression testing.
Document test configurations, results, defects, technical findings, and supporting evidence.
Work with verification and validation engineers to ensure that integration findings are addressed in formal testing.
Apply systems engineering methods to support future ADAS/AD projects and changing program responsibilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
Five or more years of relevant experience in automotive software integration, vehicle measurement systems, embedded systems, ADAS/AD development, or vehicle testing.
Hands-on experience integrating software and hardware into development vehicles.
Experience configuring and maintaining automotive measurement and data acquisition systems.
Experience troubleshooting systems involving software, ECUs, sensors, vehicle networks, operating systems, and measurement hardware.
Experience with automotive communication technologies such as CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay, and Automotive Ethernet.
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, network configuration, and in-vehicle computing systems.
Experience analyzing vehicle measurements, communication traces, diagnostic data, and system logs.
Basic programming or scripting experience for integration, automation, or data-processing tasks.
Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience with simulation and vehicle-level validation.
Familiarity with Automotive SPICE, Scrum, functional safety, and SOTIF.
Experience in an automotive OEM environment.
Experience collaborating with internationally distributed engineering teams.
