Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Corporate Accounting team at our Chicago, Illinois office. This position is part of the Corporate Controllership organization and reports to the Accounting Senior Manager. This position plays a key role in the accounting close process, post-close management reporting, including the statement of cash flows, and quarterly external reporting. The role also entails working with the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis on the quarterly forecasts and ad hoc reporting as well as analyses for senior management. This position is a multi-faceted hands-on role, with extensive opportunities to help build strong financial processes for the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end accounting processes, including journal entries, financial statement analysis reviews, coordination with business unit finance teams, internal reporting, and account reconciliations, among others.
  • Support the preparation of various reporting requirements, including Board of Directors materials and presentations, quarterly/annual reports, statement of cash flows, and ad hoc requests.
  • Assist in preparing and compiling the reports related to the Company's annual financial planning and budgeting process.
  • Actively seek opportunities to automate processes and enhance workflows, contributing to improved efficiency and productivity within the organization. 

 

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4-5 years of relevant work experience
  • CPA or working towards CPA designation is preferred.
  • Excellent technological aptitude and proficiency with MS Excel
  • Experience with SAP and/or consolidation software is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills in a professional work environment
  • A sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • A strong work ethic and the highest level of integrity
  • Ability to prepare timely and accurate reports with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to change and navigate through ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good business acumen – interaction with each of the four operating business units and Corporate executives is part of monthly responsibilities.

The full range for this position, across all geographies is $91,000 - 115,000 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrated strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualification, and prior experience.
