Job Description:
Our Opportunity
Chewy is seeking an Associate Director, EHS – Compliance and Central Programs to serve as a senior people leader and technical authority within the Chewy EHS organization. Reporting to the Director of EHS, this role carries dual accountability: leading a team of Senior Program Managers who serve as EHS subject matter experts (SMEs) across EHS Launch & Equipment Safety, M&R EHS, EHS Data & Systems, Injury Prevention/Ergonomics, and Program & Policy Governance; and owning EHS Compliance and Governance for the Fulfillment Network. Environmental compliance is owned separately.
On the compliance side, this individual owns Chewy’s occupational safety regulatory posture — including annual OSHA recordkeeping and log submissions, partnering with Legal and site stakeholders on regulatory agency visits and enforcement activity, monitoring the evolving regulatory landscape, and ensuring programs and documentation remain audit-ready at all times. This individual must be a proven people leader with deep technical EHS expertise, strong compliance and regulatory acumen, and the ability to drive alignment and accountability across a distributed network.
