    BayCare is currently in search of our newest Acute Care Physical Therapist Assistant Pool/PRN who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. We are a full-service hospital offering outpatient services, intensive care, a 24-bed maternity unit, imaging, lab, surgical services, and more, in a relaxing, family-centered environment.

    Acute Care Physical Therapist Assistant Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
    • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional ADL (Activities of Daily Living) mobility interventions.
    • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the supervising therapist.
    • Educate patients and families on exercises and techniques to support recovery.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, physicians, and occupational therapists.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
    • Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions.
    • Adhere to infection control and hospital policies.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

    Requirements:

    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant)
    • Or PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Temporary and licensure within 6 months
    • Required Associate's Physical Therapy
    • Preferred 1-year Physical Therapy Assistant

    Location: St Josephs South - Riverview, FLStatus: Pool, Exempt: NoShift Hours: varies/days
