Job Title: Acute MRI Technologist (Local candidates of AZ are not accepted by this client)
Job Summary:
Performs MRI examinations for acute and hospitalized patients using specialized imaging equipment and established protocols. Ensures high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and appropriate MRI safety standards.
Education & Experience:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent in Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology, or a related field required.
1–2 years of MRI or acute-care imaging experience preferred.
Experience working with critically ill or hospitalized patients is preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
ARRT certification in MRI or equivalent MRI credential required.
State radiologic technologist license required where applicable.
BLS certification required.
MRI safety training/certification preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols and physician orders.
Screen patients for MRI safety, implants, contraindications, and relevant medical history.
Position and monitor patients appropriately throughout MRI procedures.
Operate MRI equipment and adjust imaging parameters to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Administer contrast agents when required and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
Follow MRI safety, radiation/imaging, infection control, and patient privacy standards.
Communicate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals and maintain accurate examination documentation.
