Description

Join SAIC on the Horizon 2 contract as an Activity Security Representative and become a vital part of the Program Executive Office's Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power portfolio at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. This is your chance to play a key role in advancing our nation's space capabilities, supporting high-impact missions, and collaborating with talented professionals in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Fun stuff you will do on the job:

  • Perform day-to-day facility management tasks (responsibilities include - escort, maintenance of facility access control entry systems, etc.).
  • Develop and administer a document accountability system (responsibilities include - processing inbound and outbound classified mail and receipt records as well as data transfers, classification reviews of inbound and outbound correspondence, destruction of classified materials, processing magnetic media for accountability, etc.).
  • Support personnel security processes (responsibilities include - processing visit notices, maintaining personnel security files, process Program Access Requests and Program Security Questionnaires, performing indoctrinations etc.).
  • Support the development and execution of the facility Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Support security compliance inspections and personnel data checks in the Joint Access Database Environment system.

Qualifications

This is you:

  • Bachelors and 9 years or more of relevant experience. 4 additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Experience in the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) / Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) with a focus on ICD 705 series, DoD 5205.07 series, Executive Orders, etc.
  • Complete DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training within six months of starting on contract (if performing SAP personnel security functions); JPAS training within six months of starting on contract (if performing SCI personnel security functions); and Joint Access Database Environment (JADE) training within six months of starting on contract (if performing SAP personnel security functions).
  • Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and rolled in the Continuous Vetting program (if applicable).
  • Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Programs and consent to a polygraph examination (as required).

You will wow us even more if you have these skills:

  • Familiar with related security policy/manuals and the appropriate JAFANs/DOD Manuals and other guiding policy documents.
  • Worked in government and, or cleared defense contractor office environment.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
