Activity Leader - After-School and Summer Program

Reports To: Site Coordinator and Program Manager

Primary Location: Grand Valley Middle School, Orwell

Salary: Part-time\as scheduled (2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) $15.00 / Hour (Classified)

Job Overview

The Activity Leader is responsible for supporting the Site Coordinator in the development and implementation of the after-school and summer enrichment programs and services. This position assists the Site Coordinator during day-to-day operations by conducting program activities and providing assistance to students as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of BCII/FBI background checks
• Ability to work flexible hours (e.g., evenings and weekends)

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assists Site Coordinator to secure necessary resources for unique and engaging enrichment opportunities.
• Attends necessary training and professional development surrounding the program.
• Assists Site Coordinator in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for grant reporting.
• Builds and maintains positive relationships with students, families, school personnel, and other individuals or organizations involved in the program.
• Follows the evaluation plan and follows the timeline and tasks as outlined.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Superintendent.

• Excellent organizational and independent working skills.
• Proficient to advanced computer skill level. Knowledge of or ability to master utilization of all necessary computer programs (including MS Office applications, Google Suite, and Internet research).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for community education and commitment to youth development and services.
