About the Role:SSMIB OPCO LLC is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Activity Coordinator to join our team in Imperial Beach, CA! Responsibilities:- Plan, organize, and facilitate daily recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for participants
- Develop and maintain a monthly activity calendar that meets the interests and needs of the community
- Coordinate special events, outings, and holiday celebrations
- Engage and motivate participants to take part in group and individual programming
- Collaborate with staff, families, and volunteers to enhance activity offerings
- Maintain accurate records, attendance logs, and activity documentation
- Assess participant interests and adapt programming to meet diverse needs and abilities
Requirements:- Prior experience in activity coordination, recreation therapy, or a related field preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, patient demeanor
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging and inclusive programming
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and varying ability levels
- Highly organized with strong time management and planning skills
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for scheduling and documentation
