Activity Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team at Care and Rehab- Cumberland. The Activity Assistant will be responsible for planning and implementing recreational activities for residents, as well as assisting with daily living tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a long-term care setting and a passion for improving the quality of life for elderly individuals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement recreational activities for residents
• Encourage socialization and engagement among residents
• Assist with meal times and feeding, as needed
• Document resident participation and progress
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a nursing home or similar environment preferred
• CNA license preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
