Activity Director

Rate: $19 - $23 (depending on experience)

Shift: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Susquehanna Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking to add an Activity Director to its team. In this role, you'll lead meaningful programs and activities that support resident engagement, emotional well-being, and quality of life. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, organize, and lead engaging individual and group activity programs tailored to resident interests and abilities
  • Maintain activity documentation, resident care plans, attendance records, and required NYS DOH reporting
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, resident care conferences, and resident council activities
  • Supervise, support, and orient activity staff and volunteers
  • Assist with special events, community relations, and facility engagement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Approved by NYS DOH as a Qualified Trained Activity Leader preferred
  • Qualified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Recreation Assistant preferred
  • Minimum of two years of full-time paid experience in an activities program within a healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Compassionate and resident-centered approach to care
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
