Activities Assistant – Part-Time

Senior Living Community
Pay: $13.70 per hour
Flexible Daytime Hours | 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
Rotating Weekend Coverage Required

In this role, you'll help bring our community to life by planning and leading activities, building relationships with residents, and creating opportunities for them to stay active, social, and engaged.

This is more than just planning activities — it's about getting to know our residents, learning their stories, discovering what makes them happy, and helping them enjoy each day to the fullest.

We believe your commitment and experience should be rewarded. In addition to applicable cost-of-living increases, team members receive the following anniversary raises:

1-Year Anniversary: $2.00/hour raise
2-Year Anniversary: Additional $1.00/hour raise
3-Year Anniversary: Additional $1.00/hour raise

That's up to $4.00 more per hour in anniversary raises over your first three years, in addition to applicable cost-of-living increases!

What You'll Do

Lead fun and engaging activities such as games, crafts, music, trivia, exercise, and social events
Spend one-on-one time with residents and encourage participation based on their individual interests
Learn residents' life stories, hobbies, and preferences to create meaningful experiences
Help plan and prepare activities, special events, and holiday celebrations
Set up and maintain activity spaces and keep supplies organized
Help create a welcoming, upbeat, and social atmosphere throughout the community
Celebrate resident birthdays, milestones, and special occasions
Encourage residents to connect with one another and remain active within the community

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

Energetic, friendly, and outgoing
Creative and comfortable thinking of new ways to engage others
Patient, compassionate, and dependable
Comfortable speaking and interacting with groups
A strong communicator who enjoys building relationships
Passionate about working with older adults
Able to work independently while also being a team player

High school diploma or equivalent required.
